As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their high-performing team. Position Summary

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, technical accounting, and revenue recognition activities. This position will collaborate closely with accounting leadership and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting audit and assurance, coupled with 2-3 years of progressive corporate accounting experience. Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance is required, and experience within a software or technology environment is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Support revenue accounting activities, including the review of customer contracts and application of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.
  • Research and document technical accounting matters and assist with implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Partner with business leaders and operational teams to understand transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Assist with external audit requests and preparation of audit support schedules.
  • Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Foundation in public accounting audit and assurance, preferably from a national or regional public accounting firm.
  • 2-3 years of corporate accounting experience within a mid-sized or large organization.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience within software, SaaS, or broader technology industry.
  • Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities.
  • Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance, including contract review and revenue accounting concepts. Exposure to technical accounting research and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
