Job Description

About us

Hiyv supports enterprise customers and internal teams across AI, cloud, security, software engineering, digital platforms, infrastructure and data resilience. Hiyv helps organisations scale modern technology operations through secure, compliant and reliable delivery models that combine AI-enabled operations, cloud engineering, platform expertise, and scalable backend execution. The focus is not simply on speed, but on helping customers innovate while maintaining operational control, security, resilience, and sovereignty across increasingly complex technology environments.

For our continuously expanding technical team we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst.

The Role

We are building and expanding our reporting and analytics capability into a proper, well-governed BI platform-serving both our internal organisation and our customers.

As Senior Data Analyst you are the driving force behind this platform. You lay the technical foundation, translate business questions into meaningful insight, and act as a trusted sparring partner for internal stakeholders and clients. You collaborate closely with an existing data analyst in the wider team to align on standards and ways of working. You are not only responsible for building reports, but for creating a trusted decision-support environment across the organisation and for our customers.

What you will do

  • Design and build

the reporting and analytics foundation from the ground up - data models, a semantic layer, governance, naming conventions and reusable standards

  • Establish and maintain

a consistent KPI framework and business glossary to ensure a single source of truth across the organisation

  • Develop

and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for both internal use and delivery to customers, with a focus on quality, consistency and reusability

  • Gather

requirements from stakeholders and translate ambiguous, high-level questions into concrete analytical solutions - you understand the question behind the question

  • Advise and spar with

internal teams and clients: challenge assumptions, propose better ways to measure, and turn data into decisions rather than just charts

  • Present

analytical findings in a clear, business-focused manner and influence decision-making at multiple organisational levels

  • Help

shape the direction and roadmap of the reporting platform together with stakeholders, while also delivering hands-on within agreed priorities

  • Design and implement

data quality monitoring, validation processes and reconciliation checks to ensure trust in reporting outputs

  • Safeguard

documentation, governance and a maintainable, well-governed environment as the platform grows

  • Collaborate

closely with the other data analyst in the team to share standards, avoid duplication and raise the overall quality bar

What are we looking for

  • Around 5\+ years of experience in BI / data analytics, including work at a senior, self-directed level
  • Strong hands-on Power BI expertise: data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and effective dashboard design
  • Solid SQL and dimensional data modelling (e.g. star schema) skills.
  • Proven experience setting up a BI / reporting foundation and governance from scratch - not only working within an existing one
  • Understanding of data security, privacy and access-control principles in analytics environments
  • Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable in front of both internal and customer audiences
  • Business acumen: you can move from a vague business question to the right data and the right answer
  • Fluent, confident English - spoken and written - for customer-facing communication

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with the Microsoft data stack (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, dataflows) and/or a data lake environment
  • Familiarity with ERP data or IT-services / managed-services domains
  • Experience mentoring or being the go-to reference point for reporting within a team

Personality and ways of working

  • Consultative and curious - you dig for the real need instead of just building what is asked.
  • Autonomous and proactive, comfortable setting direction where there isn’t one yet.
  • A strong communicator who can bridge business and technical worlds.
  • Collaborative - you enjoy working across teams and locations.
