Senior Embedded Software Engineer

The Role

• Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy software for firmware (FPGA) and hardware solutions in autonomous avionics systems.
• Work within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and measurable quality.
• Develop, test, and integrate software for edge or embedded devices and/or subsystems where hardware operation, time-critical function, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety are major concerns.
• Contribute to proposals and preliminary/critical design reviews.
• Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.

What You'll Need

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in at least two of the following: Embedded C\+\+ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
• Proficiency with embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
• Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
• An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date, with the ability to obtain program access.
