Senior Equity Analyst - Trading Desk

We are seeking a Senior Equity Analyst to join a high-performance trading desk at a globally recognized, multi-asset market-making firm. This is a high-impact role for an analyst ready to go beyond traditional research and operate at the intersection of fundamental analysis and live trading.

About the role:

This position sits directly on the trading desk, with visibility into real-time decisions and direct P\&L responsibility. You will own sector coverage, generate short-horizon, catalyst-driven insights, and partner closely with traders to optimize positions across both equity and volatility.

This is not a traditional research role. Speed, commercial judgement, and the ability to translate fundamentals into actionable trade ideas are core to success here.

What you'll do:

• Identify and evaluate trading opportunities using fundamental, event-driven, and short-term catalyst analysis

• Partner with traders to optimize analyst and market-making book positions

• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses around corporate events and macro developments

• Translate research insights into strategies across equities and options

• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing across the analyst team

• Mentor junior analysts and help grow the equity research function

What we're looking for:

• 5\+ years of experience as an equity analyst within a market-making firm, proprietary trading environment, or event-driven / trading-oriented hedge fund

• Demonstrated ability to own sector coverage and generate differentiated, actionable insights

• Strong understanding of how fundamentals drive short-term price action and volatility

• Comfortable applying your analytical framework across new sectors and situations

• Options-aware thinking and experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
