This role will report into the Lead Finance Officer (LFO)’s team supporting the International Card Services (ICS) group in Canada. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead activities that deliver data-driven recommendations to Canada’s Country Manager and leadership team. The role offers an opportunity to collaborate with various teams across the globe, not only within Finance, but also across key business units and partner groups.

Responsibilities
- Providing business partners insights on financial P\&L performance and business decisioning.
- Leading annual forecasting, investment optimization and month-end processes.
- Leading variance analysis and root‑cause reviews across P\&L components, proactively identifying emerging trends, underlying business drivers, risks, and opportunities to influence forecasting and investment decisions.
- Data mining to drive insights to support product constructs, pricing, new deals and partnerships, and new product launches, among others.
- Acting as a liaison between finance and business stakeholders, providing regular updates, progress reports and insights to leadership.
- Summarizing and tracking initiatives, creating transparency for presentations to senior management.
- Delivering innovative process efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to follow business and industry trends and relate to financial results.
- Experience leveraging querying languages and data modeling tools (SQL, SAS, LUMI) to extract, structure, and analyze large, complex data sets and translate results into actionable financial insights. Ability to transform data sets into compelling visuals that clearly articulate business drivers and drive insights. Experience using visualization tools (Tableau/ Power BI).
- Expert-level Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data manipulation; strong PowerPoint skills for synthesizing analyses into compelling, executive-ready materials.
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and a proactive approach to integrating them into financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Ability to synthesize and articulate complex ideas with brevity, simplicity, and impact.
- Ability to draw conclusions, predictions and actionable recommendations from data analysis.
- Proven experience in a collaboration role with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent relationship-building capability and ability to influence others without having direct authority, combined with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, effectively manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong sense of personal accountability and resilience with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Confidence to ask questions, develop a point of view, and voice an opinion in meetings with senior executives.
- Bachelor's degree and relevant designation (CPA, CFA, MBA, MMA).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis roles involving large data sets, financial modeling, forecasting, and translating analytics into actionable business insights.
