POSITION SUMMARY

The

Senior Financial Analyst

will support HUB's Employee Benefits Division — SPG's fastest-growing business unit. This is a highly dynamic, ownership-driven role that goes well beyond routine reporting. The ideal candidate is a confident, analytically minded professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and can effectively communicate financial insights to business leaders at all levels.

This position reports to the Director of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and drive month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of internal financial statements across multiple divisions.
  • Deliver in-depth financial analysis and variance analysis, identifying key trends and proactively communicating findings to business leaders.
  • Support the Employee Benefits Division across its five P\&Ls, partnering closely with operational and divisional leaders to provide timely and meaningful financial insight.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting across multiple systems and platforms, adapting to the varied tools and initiatives across divisions.
  • Assist with the annual budget process and monthly forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations teams to streamline processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Present financial results and analysis to senior stakeholders — this is a visible role that requires confidence, polish, and the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and drive efficiencies in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Support M\&A integration activities as needed.
  • Other duties as identified.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5\+ years of financial reporting and/or financial analysis experience, ideally within a public company or well-established organization
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting; related experience may offset this requirement
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and month-end close processes
  • Experience operating in fast-growing or high-change environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Oracle Hyperion experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to business leaders and varied audiences
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic business environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to take initiative
  • M\&A experience a plus
  • Insurance brokerage experience a plus
