Senior Financial Analyst, Global Risk Management and Claims

Global Risk Management and Claims (GRMC), a branch of Treasury \& Risk Management, oversees Amazon's sophisticated, global insurance programs. GRMC's scope encompasses critical insurance programs that protect Amazon's operations across all businesses and regions worldwide.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the GRMC Controllership \& Compliance team. This role interfaces with stakeholders across GRMC, Finance, Accounting and Tax teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage month end financials, tax filings, and management reporting
• Provide guidance and variance analysis to peer finance teams
• Drive automation of manual processes
• Build planning and forecasting for GRMC’s annual insurance policy renewal cycles
• Develop reporting and dashboards for leadership decision making
• Maintain and communicate allocation methodologies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3\+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree and 5\+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

----------------------------

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages
• Experience in financial modeling, P\&L management or analysis

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
