Description:
The Senior Financial Controller is responsible for leading cost control, financial governance, and strategic analysis activities within the FP\&A department. This role focuses on driving cost efficiency, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies, and providing high-quality analytical support for management decisions.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1\. Cost Controlling \& Analysis
- Lead the company’s cost control framework, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and cost policies.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation models to monitor profitability by product, function, or business unit.
- Conduct detailed cost structure reviews and identify efficiency and saving opportunities.
- Provide cost insights and recommendations to management for strategic and operational decisions.
2\. Financial Governance \& Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain internal across accounting, reporting, and operational processes.
- Monitor capital expenditure processes and ensure compliance with approval limits and governance policies.
3\. Strategic Financial Support
- Provide financial input and cost analysis for new business initiatives, projects, and investment decisions.
- Partner with procurement, operations, and leadership teams to promote cost efficiency and accountability.
- Support ad-hoc financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
4\. IFRS Reporting \& Financial Statements Preparation
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation, disclosures, and compliance with reporting standards applicable to listed companies.
- Monitor new and amended IFRS standards and assess their financial and operational impact on the organization.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting.
- Strengthen financial reporting processes and documentation to support governance and audit readiness.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CMA, CPA, or FMVA preferred).
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, cost management, or FP\&A roles.
- Experience in a publicly listed company is mandatory.
- Previous experience in one of the Big 4 audit firms is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, internal control over financial reporting (ICFR/ICOFR), and corporate governance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
