Build AI agents that make real-world decisions

Most enterprise AI products stop at answering questions.

SupplyWhy is building AI agents that help automotive and manufacturing teams decide what to do when demand changes, suppliers fall behind, inventory is exposed, or production is at risk.

That is a much harder engineering problem than building a chatbot.

Our systems must reason across messy enterprise data, coordinate multiple workflows, explain recommendations, involve humans at the right moment, and remain reliable enough for real operational decisions.

We’re working with Fortune 500 manufacturing teams and are hiring a senior full-stack engineer to help turn these systems into production software.

What you’ll own

You’ll own customer-facing AI workflows end to end:

  • Build fast, intuitive product experiences in Next.js
  • Develop Python services, APIs, and agent tools
  • Design tool-calling, routing, memory, and human-approval workflows
  • Build evaluations and observability for agent quality, latency, and reliability
  • Work directly with customers to understand problems and ship solutions
  • Help shape our engineering architecture and standards

This is a product engineering role—not a research-only or prompt-only position.

What success looks like

In your first six months, you will:

  • Ship a production AI workflow used by enterprise customers
  • Improve how we evaluate and monitor agent behavior
  • Make complex supply-chain decisions easier for users to understand and act on
  • Influence the architecture of our agent platform

You might be a fit if you

  • Have 4\+ years of experience shipping production software
  • Are strong in React/Next.js or Python and comfortable working across the stack
  • Have shipped at least one production LLM or AI-powered product
  • Care about product outcomes, reliability, and customer experience
  • Enjoy owning ambiguous problems from discovery through production

You do

not

need previous supply-chain experience.

Experience with agent systems, RAG, evaluations, enterprise software, or manufacturing is helpful—but not required.

Why SupplyWhy

  • Work on AI systems connected to real operational decisions
  • Own meaningful product areas rather than isolated tickets
  • Collaborate directly with founders, engineers, and enterprise customers
  • Help define the architecture and engineering culture of an early team
  • Receive a competitive salary, equity, health benefits, and flexible time off

Interview process:

30-minute introduction → technical discussion → system/product design → founder conversation
