Senior Graphic Designer

About the role:

Total Product Events, a subsidiary of Kretek International, is the owner of Total Product Expo (TPE), the first big B2B buying show of the year that brings together thousands of independent retailers, local distributors, brands, and manufacturers. We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and driven Senior Graphic Designer to join our team supporting a premier industry tradeshow brand. Every project you touch directly contributes to the success, growth, and visual impact of our tradeshow experience — from pre-event marketing campaigns to on-site environmental design.

The TPE team is a united, fast-paced team that is located in Moorpark, CA.

Purpose of the Position

The Senior Graphic Designer develops innovative concepts and high-impact designs that translate marketing objectives into powerful visual communication.

You will apply brand standards across multiple platforms while creating functional, visually engaging solutions including:

• Tradeshow graphics \& environmental signage
• Marketing campaigns \& advertisements
• Direct mail \& promotional materials
• Brochures \& collateral
• Email and digital graphics
• Video and graphic animation
• Multi-channel brand experiences

What You’ll Do

Creative Design \& Concept Development

• Develop inventive design concepts based on creative briefs and direction from the Creative Director and Marketing Manager.
• Translate verbal messaging into compelling visual communication that meets marketing goals.
• Research project objectives, audience needs, and competitive landscape before beginning design.
• Approach every project with fresh thinking while balancing creativity with cost efficiency.

Brand \& Visual Execution

• Apply brand guidelines consistently across all print, digital, video, and environmental assets.
• Design highly functional layouts using strong typography, color, and composition principles.
• Produce assets for advertising, signage, collateral, and integrated campaigns tied to the tradeshow lifecycle.

Project Management \& Collaboration

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Understand project schedules, production requirements, and budget limitations.
• Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and communicate status updates.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.

Production Excellence

• Proofread and quality-check all creative deliverables prior to release.
• Ensure files meet print, digital, and web specifications.
• Maintain organized project documentation, archives, and naming conventions.
• Apply strong knowledge of print production including:
• Prepare Mechanicals/Prepress
• Provide print specs
• Large-format and environmental graphics
• Provide direction to with vendors

Digital \& Emerging Media

• Apply best practices for web and mobile graphics.
• Create visual storytelling through video or motion graphics
• Stay current with emerging AI design tools and integrate relevant technologies into workflows.
• Monitor design trends, competitor activity, and industry standards to continually elevate creative output.

Requirements

• BA or BS Design, or BFA
• Eight or more years with hands-on graphic and digital design
• Expert proficiency with Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, Premier) Apple platform
• Working knowledge of Figma, HTML5, Canva, Capcut
• Working knowledge and experience working with project management tool, like Asana.

Supervisory Responsibility

·        No direct reports

Working Conditions

·        Standard office environment with minimal for errands.

·        Some Travel is Required. Travel to TPE show is required.

Physical Job Requirements:

·        This position requires sitting, standing and communicating clearly in person, by telephone and via phone/email/chat.

·        Some stooping, bending, using print and cutting equipment.

·        This position requires the ability to discern subtle color and value differences
