Job Description
Job Title: Senior Logistics Manager
Seeking a highly analytical transportation and logistics leader to oversee and optimize our global supply chain network, supporting the movement of footwear products from manufacturing partners across Asia to distribution centers and customers throughout the United States.
This role is responsible for developing transportation strategies, managing logistics partners, and leveraging data-driven insights to improve service, cost, efficiency, and supply chain performance.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in ocean and domestic transportation with a proven ability to build reporting frameworks, drive analytics, and translate complex data into actionable business decisions. business growth while maintaining scalable and cost-effective logistics operations
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global transportation and logistics strategy, overseeing the end-to-end movement of products from Asian factories to U.S. distribution centers.
- Lead ocean freight operations, including carrier selection, contract negotiations, and freight forwarding, while supporting transportation technology initiatives.
- Partner with sourcing, planning, inventory, and warehouse operations teams to align transportation strategies with business requirements and customer demand.
- Establish and lead a best-in-class transportation analytics and reporting function, providing visibility into freight spending, service performance, inventory flow, transit times, carrier effectiveness, and network utilization.
- Champion the use of transportation management systems (TMS), business intelligence tools, and supply chain technology platforms to enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on freight optimization, network efficiency, inventory velocity, and customer service performed, mentor, and develop a team of transportation and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Review and validate monthly Ocean Freight invoices to ensure the accuracy of handling, transportation, accessorial, and other ad-hoc charges
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- 10\+ years of progressive leadership experience in global transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise managing ocean freight programs across Asia-to-U.S. trade lanes, including freight procurement, carrier negotiations, and network optimization.
- Deep knowledge of domestic transportation operations, including drayage, intermodal, truckload, LTL, parcel, and distribution networks.
- Strong analytical background with demonstrated success building transportation reporting, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive-level performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Strong understanding of transportation economics, freight markets, customs processes, and global supply chain best practices.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing logistics and transportation teams.
