We're partnered with a VC-backed start-up, founded by engineering leaders from Lyft \& Google, that has raised $100M to become the category leader in multi-domain autonomy across air, land and sea. They have secured both defense and commercial contracts to deploy autonomous solutions at scale.
Role
As part of their growth plans they're looking to hire a
Senior MLOps Engineer
to own the reliability, scalability, and velocity of model training and deployment for autonomy systems. Turning experimental models into dependable production services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and operate end-to-end ML infrastructure (training → deployment → monitoring).
- Build and scale CI/CD pipelines for ML (versioning, promotion, rollback, canarying).
- Own model observability (drift detection, performance tracking, data health).
- Optimize GPU utilization across cloud \+ on-prem environments.
- Support edge deployments (Jetson, Orin, GPU systems).
- Collaborating and advising autonomy engineers.
The Ideal Candidate Would Have:
- Proven experience deploying models at scale, and strong experience with PyTorch \+ CUDA workflows.
- Experience in autonomy, robotics or real-time systems.
- Deep Linux/systems fundamentals.
Salary:
$180k-$250k base
Location:
Palo Alto, CA \| Onsite (5 days)
This role will allow you to work on real-world deployed autonomy systems and own a critical layer of the ML stack for the forefront of AI \+ robotics!
