Senior Mechanical Engineer

to join a dynamic engineering team supporting modification and development projects on existing offshore facilities.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role throughout the entire project lifecycle—from concept development and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, construction support, commissioning, and start-up. You will work closely with project managers, operations teams, and external contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for modification projects on existing offshore installations
• Review and approve detailed engineering designs and mechanical deliverables
• Develop piping and equipment layouts, perform stress calculations, and conduct fatigue assessments
• Participate in HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Design Reviews, FAT/SAT testing, and Start-up Reviews
• Lead concept development, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Support construction, mechanical completion, commissioning, and start-up activities
• Act as Technical Approver during procurement processes and material selection
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, and international standards

Required Qualifications \& Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience within the offshore oil \& gas industry
• Extensive experience in static mechanical equipment, piping design, and layout
• Strong expertise in pipe stress analysis, fatigue assessments, NDT, welding processes, and materials engineering
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASME, EN, ISO, and API standards
• Solid understanding of Process Safety and Safety Critical Elements
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

• Piping- og udstyrslayout, stressberegninger og fatigue-vurderinger
• Deltagelse i HAZOP, HAZID, FAT/SAT og design reviews
• Udarbejdelse af tekniske beskrivelser og konceptstudier
• Samarbejde med leverandører og interessenter på tværs af organisationen
• Teknisk støtte under konstruktion, installation, commissioning og opstart
• Projektledelse og koordinering mellem discipliner og stakeholders

Vi søger dig, der har

• Bachelorgrad i Mechanical Engineering eller tilsvarende
• Minimum 8-10 års erfaring fra offshore olie- og gasindustrien
• Solid erfaring med statisk mekanisk design, piping og udstyr
• Indgående kendskab til pipe stress, fatigue, materialer, NDT og svejseprocesser
• Erfaring med internationale standarder som ANSI/ASME, EN og ISO
• God forståelse for process safety og Safety Critical Elements
• Flydende engelsk i skrift og tale
