Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Cottage Grove, MN, for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will design and develop complex mechanical systems, using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, and ensure their performance under rigorous testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management and R\&D, to deliver innovative and reliable solutions. Additional responsibilities include conducting feasibility analyses, prototyping, and optimizing existing mechanical designs to meet industry standards and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in core Mechanical Engineering principles and expertise in Machine Design.
- Strong experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for developing and refining mechanical systems.
- Proven skills in Project Management for planning, overseeing, and delivering technical projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Background in Research and Development (R\&D), including ideation, prototyping, and testing innovative engineering solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as attention to detail in developing and testing products.
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical device development and manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience with compliance to industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
