About the Venture

We are building an AI-native property management platform for short-term rentals. Our product helps hosts and property managers automate guest communication, pricing, and operations – replacing fragmented tools with one intelligent system. We are an early-stage, VC-backed team based in Berlin, building at the intersection of real estate and artificial intelligence.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior People \& Culture Partner to join us as our first dedicated people hire. You will own the full employee lifecycle – from hiring and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding. This is a hands-on, generalist role where you will shape the culture, build people processes from scratch, and support a growing team through a critical scaling phase.

What you'll do

  • Own and run end-to-end recruitment across technical and non-technical roles
  • Build and implement core people processes: onboarding, feedback cycles, performance reviews, and offboarding
  • Act as a trusted partner to the founders and managers on all people-related topics
  • Manage HR operations including contracts, payroll coordination, and compliance with German labour law
  • Set up and maintain HR systems and tools (e.g. Personio or similar)
  • Drive culture initiatives that reflect the company's values and support team cohesion
  • Support the team through organisational changes as the company scales

About You

  • 5\+ years of experience in a People/HR generalist role, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment
  • Strong knowledge of German labour law and HR compliance requirements
  • Proven experience running recruitment processes end-to-end
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable building from zero
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English
  • You care deeply about people and culture, and you bring warmth and good judgement to everything you do

Nice to have

  • Experience with Personio or similar HR tools
  • Experience working in venture-backed or portfolio companies
  • Familiarity with visa and relocation processes
  • Coaching or mediation training
