Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a

Senior Project Engineer - Agile / Scrum / SAF

with our medical device client in Lafayette, CO. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay:

$55\.00 - $65\.00/hr

; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description:

The Project Engineer role is about coaching and enabling the engineering teams.   We are building an environment where continuous improvement of the product development process is our focus, and everyone's common goal is to deliver outstanding products as fast as possible while having fun.

In this role you will wear many hats, including but not limited to the following: Agile Scrum Master, SAFe facilitator, Agile coach, Design History File (DHF) coordinator, team leader, mentor, and change agent.

As a Project Engineer, you are passionate about communication, group dynamics and coaching and are not afraid to remove impediments from your team.   You should have an insatiable appetite for learning new things and improving existing ones.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working cross-functionally with hardware and test teams serving as liaison to program management
  • Working cross-site globally serving as liaison across teams (Israel \& US)
  • Serve as Scrum Master and support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) release train activities
  • Facilitate Agile and SAFe ceremonies and processes to help teams plan, execute, and deliver value
  • Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics and continuous flow. Provide the support needed by the teams to be self-organizing and self-managing
  • Facilitate and coordinate Design History File (DHF) documentation
  • Provide regular and open communication across stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments
  • Support program-level coordination by developing and maintaining timelines, milestones, and release plans
  • Identify, visualize, and coordinate upstream and downstream dependencies, risks, and impediments
  • Work with team and product owners to ensure a high quality of features in the backlog
  • Use feedback and metrics to support delivery, identify improvement opportunities, and help teams implement practical solutions
  • Work across stakeholders and teams to continuously improve
  • Provide day-to-day team leadership and partner with program and functional leaders to resolve complex issues
  • Share Agile and SAFe knowledge across teams and contribute to consistent, effective ways of working

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working in engineering, research, and development
  • Strong knowledge and experience in an Agile environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and interpersonally with all levels of the organization, including delivering sensitive or difficult information tactfully. Work is global (Israel and US); the candidate must have a high level of English proficiency.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, facilitation, and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to assess problems and solve them with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to build alignment and help teams work together effectively
  • Ability to effectively analyze data and apply solutions
  • Comfort acting as a change agent and supporting adoption of improved processes and ways of working
  • Working knowledge of the technical domain to effectively support technical risks that may arise (or ability to quickly develop)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the medical industry or other regulated industry
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent
  • SAFe certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Jira or a comparable Agile lifecycle management tool
  • Investigation and root cause analysis skills
  • Technical writing knowledge
  • Organization and Communication skills
  • Process Validation and Computer software validation knowledge
  • 0-3 years of medical / clinical experience or exposure Requires basic job knowledge of systems, techniques and procedures of product or process design
  • Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Top 3 technical  skills that are required for the role:

  1. Organizational Skills and Jira familiarity
  2. Scrum master and SAFe release train activities
  3. Communication and ability to work through SOPs and established development processes.
