Project Executive and/or Senior Project Manager
Locations: Tulsa, OK and Cedar Rapids, IA - ONSITE
Hyperscale Data Center Construction (Electrical)
Pay: $200k
Per Diem: $128/day for 7 days
Transportation: $1k a month for gas and car
Paid travel home every two weeks or every third weekend
Location after projects - nationwide (75% travel or site-based relocation)
Project Duration: 6–12 months per assignment

Position Overview
A leading national electrical contractor is seeking Project Executives and Senior Project Managers to lead delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects across the United States. These leaders will be embedded on-site or travel heavily, supporting fast paced, mission critical builds for major hyperscale clients.
Ideal candidates bring a strong background from a large electrical contractor or top-tier GC, with recent, hands-on experience delivering hyperscale data centers, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, production tracking, and owner relationships. Projects are highly technical, schedule driven, and capital-intensive, requiring leaders who understand earned value, cost controls, manpower optimization, and multi-trade coordination at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership \& Delivery
- Provide full lifecycle leadership for hyperscale data center construction projects, from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
- Serve as the primary on-site or traveling leader, accountable for safety, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Drive execution across large field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal operations groups.
- Financial \& Cost Controls
- Establish and manage project budgets, cost codes, and forecasting aligned to earned value management principles.
- Track and analyze labor productivity, unit rates, and production metrics against plan.
- Lead monthly cost reviews, projections, and change management processes.
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to protect margin and schedule.
- Scheduling \& Production Planning
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6\.
- Partner with field leadership to align manpower curves, production goals, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate work sequencing with owners, general contractors, commissioning teams, and other trades.
- Technology \& Reporting
- Utilize Procore for project controls, documentation, RFIs, submittals, and reporting.
- Leverage Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM tools to support coordination and constructability.
- Produce clear, data driven reports for internal leadership and hyperscale clients.
- Client \& Stakeholder Management
- Act as the senior point of contact for hyperscale owners, developers, and GC partners.
- Lead owner meetings, progress reviews, and executive-level discussions.
- Ensure alignment with client standards, safety culture, and delivery expectations.
- Safety \& Quality
- Champion a zero incident safety culture across all project sites.
- Ensure rigorous QA/QC processes are followed, particularly on mission critical electrical systems.
Experience \& Qualifications
Required
- 10–15\+ years of total construction management experience.
- 3–5\+ years of direct hyperscale data center construction experience, ideally most recent roles.
- Background with a large electrical contractor or Tier 1 GC, such as:
- Cupertino Electric
- Rosendin
- IES
- HITT
- Turner Construction
- DPR Construction
These are just examples of tier-1 companies the client would be seeking experience from. Similar companies and experience would suffice.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Procore
- Primavera P6
- Autodesk / ACC
- Earned Value Management
- Cost code setup and job cost tracking
- Labor production tracking and forecasting
- Proven ability to lead large project teams across multiple phases and locations.
Preferred
- Experience managing $50M–$300M\+ electrical scopes on hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with hyperscaler standards (safety, reporting, turnover, commissioning).
- Ability to relocate or maintain heavy travel schedules for extended project durations.
- Strong knowledge/experience with electrical install as it pertains to hyperscale data center construction
Travel \& Work Environment
- 75% travel and/or site-based relocation required.
- Preferred travel schedule \= 2 weeks onsite, 1 weekend (Thurs-Mon/Tues) back home.
- Projects typically last 6 to 12 months, with potential for reassignment to subsequent builds.
