Job Overview

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Project Manager to lead a $20M\+ production line installation for a major granular product project. This role requires a leader who operates from the factory floor, working directly with maintenance and operators rather than from an office. You will manage an external engineering firm, challenge technical proposals to control costs, and oversee the project from facility gutting through final equipment commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation Management: Lead the on-site installation of an entire granular product processing line.
• Vendor Oversight: Manage external engineering firms and challenge proposals to keep costs under the project ceiling.
• Floor Leadership: Work side-by-side with maintenance and operators, including manual troubleshooting and hands-on support.
• Process Improvement: Drive efficiency updates for existing powder handling systems during project gaps.
• Site Flexibility: Support occasional projects at locations in Chicago or Mississippi if required.

Technical Requirements

• Experience: 10\+ years of senior-level experience in process engineering and project management.
• Education: Degree in an engineering discipline (Process or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• Powder Expertise: Deep knowledge of bulk powder handling, including silos, augers, drag belts, and dense-phase air transport.
• Material Science: Experience with atomized powders, silica, and granular material production.
• Operational Style: Minimal training required; ability to hit the ground running during the current 3-month engineering phase.
