Project Manager Position

Job Purpose

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology / digital projects in KSA (often with government or large enterprise clients), ensuring scope, time, budget, and quality are achieved while managing stakeholders and project teams across business and IT.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Project Delivery \& Governance

• Own full project lifecycle from initiation to closure (charter, planning, execution, monitoring, closure).
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business goals.
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource plans.
• Establish and run governance routines: steering committees, weekly status meetings, risk/issue reviews.
• Ensure compliance with client governance, and KSA regulations where applicable.

2\. Stakeholder \& Client Management

• Act as primary point of contact for the client’s project team and senior stakeholders.
• Manage expectations on scope, timelines, budget, and change requests in a transparent way.
• Prepare and present clear status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
• Handle conflicts and escalations proactively, proposing structured options and recommendations.

3\. Team Leadership \& Coordination

• Lead cross-functional teams (BA, architects, developers, QA, ops, vendors) across on-site and remote locations.
• Assign tasks, follow up on progress, and remove blockers to keep the team productive.
• Coordinate with pre-sales, product, and operations for smooth handover from sales to delivery and then to support.

4\. Scope, Change, and Risk Management

• Manage project scope using structured change control; ensure commercial impact is assessed and approved.
• Identify, log, and track risks and issues with clear owners and mitigation plans.
• Maintain a live RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log and share with stakeholders regularly.
• Protect project margin and timelines through realistic planning, early warning, and negotiation with the client.

5\. Financial Management

• Own the project budget, forecasts, and actuals in coordination with finance
• Track effort, burn rate, and variations versus contract and SOW.
• Support invoicing milestones, acceptance documentation, and revenue recognition requirements.

6\. Quality \& Delivery Excellence

• Ensure deliverables meet contractual and internal quality standards (documentation, testing, UAT, training).
• Plan and supervise testing, UAT, and go-live activities with clear cutover/runbook.
• Conduct lessons learned and implement continuous improvements across projects and processes.

Required Qualifications \& Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 4 - 6 years total experience, with managing medium to large-scale technology / software projects.
• Proven experience delivering projects in KSA; strong understanding of local business culture.
• Preferable: experience with government / semi-government / large enterprises in KSA.

Certifications (preferred / strongly preferred):

• PMP and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
• Agile / Scrum (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) is a plus.
