Job Description
Summary
We're seeking a Senior QA Engineer to help deliver reliable, high-quality software through thoughtful testing strategies and scalable automation. You'll play a key role in ensuring product quality by designing automated test solutions, validating complex systems, and working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical skills with curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing systems and frameworks
- Create, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and data integrity testing
- Investigate defects, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Review product and technical requirements to ensure they are testable and clearly defined
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and QA Engineers throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and testing processes
- Prioritize testing efforts based on risk, severity, and release timelines
- Generate testing reports and proactively communicate quality metrics and results
Core Requirements
- 6\+ years of experience testing modern software applications across the full technology stack
- Strong experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
- Proficiency with at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
- Solid experience testing Web Service APIs
- Hands-on experience with one or more testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, NUnit, xUnit, or TestNG
- Experience working with document databases such as MongoDB
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience working with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Experience working with Kafka
