Job Description

Job Location:

This position will be located at Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 West High Street in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Why You’ll Love This Position

This is a new position and is a unique opportunity to support the data needs for Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (FMDC) and the broader Office of Administration through the OA Operational Excellence team. This position will be held in the Commissioner’s Office with the focus on FMDC data needs, with the opportunity to support other key agency initiatives as FMDC needs are met.

Primary duties for this position include supporting the collection, planning, analysis, and reporting of facility data for more than 14 million square feet of state‑owned and leased properties. This position will work in partnership with OA‑FMDC leadership, other state agencies, and national and regional organizations involved in managing large portfolios of buildings and real property assets.

The role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining facility and real estate datasets; producing customized reports for specialized building and real‑estate projects; and delivering standardized reporting and ad hoc data requests. This work provides critical insights that support strategic planning and informed decision‑making across the state’s facility portfolio.

If you are interested in being part of an expanding team, with a mission to provide excellent customer service, every time, this is the role for you.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
  • Seek and incorporate feedback to support continuous improvement, optimizing resources to reduce costs and enhance performance.
  • Partner with state agencies and internal teams to develop and maintain a strong planning framework, prioritize short‑ and long‑term capital asset needs, prepare five‑year master plans, complete project requests, and implement funding strategies that align with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of annual capital improvement (CI) project priorities, job order contracts (JOC), construction services projects, and emergency project plans.
  • Prepare, organize, and manage project documentation, including reports, progress summaries, and records.
  • Analyze data related to tenant and agency experiences to identify trends, needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Transform raw data into clear, meaningful customer reports using charts, graphs, and other creative visualizations to effectively tell the story behind the data.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that reflect services and agency experiences in state-owned or leased buildings, ensuring data accuracy across multiple data sources.
  • Promote dashboard tools to targeted agencies, strengthening awareness, engagement, and feedback loops to support timely, data‑driven decision making.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and three years of data analysis information experience are preferred. Substitutions allowed. Experience with data visualization platforms, such as Tableau and Qualtrics, is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in the utilization of concepts associated with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Highly proficient with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, and Excel.
  • Experience with data warehouses, writing queries, using SQL, and developing reports.
  • Understand the rules associated with handling protected health information (PHI).
  • Ability to work in a team environment to drive problem-solving, with excellent communication skills to interact with customers and determine reporting requirements.
  • Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and complete task with a sense of urgency.

Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
