Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead
to support technology delivery teams in an Agile environment. This role will provide servant leadership, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, drive team objectives, and ensure successful execution of Program Increment (PI) objectives in alignment with the organization’s strategy, vision, and roadmap.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile/Scrum expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively identify and remove impediments while providing leadership with clear, metrics-driven visibility into delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a
servant leader
to Agile delivery teams while leveraging strong domain and technical knowledge.
- Facilitate and drive
Scrum ceremonies
, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile team activities.
- Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure
backlog refinement, prioritization, and story readiness
.
- Drive execution of
Program Increment (PI) objectives
to support overall strategy, product vision, and roadmap.
- Ensure the team delivers measurable value to end users and stakeholders.
- Track and proactively manage
risks, timelines, dependencies, issues, and delivery gaps
across Agile teams.
- Develop and provide
metrics-driven insights
into team delivery and execution using relevant Agile and team-level metrics.
- Establish visibility into team objectives, progress, risks, issues, opportunities, and impediments.
- Monitor and measure
user story execution, sprint performance, velocity, and overall delivery health
.
- Identify, address, and remove team impediments, escalating issues when additional support or leadership intervention is required.
- Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to improve overall team efficiency and delivery processes.
- Identify recurring obstacles and develop strategies to prevent similar impediments in the future.
- Manage external relationships and collaborate with
product partners, vendor partners, and other stakeholders
as needed.
- Provide detailed
Scrum-level metrics and reporting
using JIRA and related plugins/tools.
- Promote continuous improvement and help Agile teams mature their processes, practices, and delivery capabilities.
- Ensure teams remain focused on commitments, timelines, quality, and delivery outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or another technical field
, or equivalent work experience required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 5\+ years of experience
facilitating Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading technology teams to deliver solutions
on time, within budget, and according to requirements/specifications
.
- Strong understanding of
Agile, Scrum, backlog management, sprint execution, and PI planning/execution
.
- Hands-on experience with
JIRA and JIRA plugins
for delivery tracking, metrics, and reporting.
- Strong ability to identify and manage
risks, dependencies, issues, and impediments
.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Product Managers, technology teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate Agile metrics into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
or other Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
- Experience working within a
Scaled Agile / SAFe
environment and familiarity with Program Increment (PI) planning.
- Experience supporting technology transformation or complex enterprise initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery metrics and team performance measurement.
