senior to staff level Backend Engineers

in

Seattle

who are excited to contribute across the stack—whether your strength is

Your work will be mission-critical: the systems you build and optimize power real-world operations at massive scale, directly affecting how restaurants grow and how customers eat.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and optimize backend systems that power mission-critical, high-scale applications across our platform
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems that support food operators and delivery workflows at scale
• Work across relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity
• Deploy and manage services on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) with an eye toward uptime and operational excellence
• Debug complex production issues and drive improvements in system reliability and performance—with a clear articulation of business impact
• Collaborate across engineering and product teams, contributing to architecture decisions and mentoring where applicable

You'll Thrive Here If You

• Have

5\+ years of backend software engineering experience

, with a track record of building and operating production systems at scale

• Are proficient in

and can hit the ground running in a modern backend codebase

• Have solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and understand how to design for performance
• Bring strong debugging and problem-solving instincts—you don't just fix bugs, you understand root cause and communicate impact clearly
• Are ready and excited to be in the office 5 days a week in a collaborative, in-person engineering culture

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Exposure to large-scale data processing or event-driven architectures
• Leadership experience—leading team projects, driving technical decisions, or mentoring junior engineers
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
