Job Description
My client, a highly prestigious fixed income hedge fund with significant mortgage market exposure, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their technology team in Dallas.
Operating within a fast-paced, high-performing engineering environment, you will take ownership of core applications supporting portfolio management, finance, risk, and accounting functions. This role combines hands-on development with architectural influence, focused on enhancing, modernising, and supporting business-critical systems.
My client is looking for a technically strong engineer who can lead from the front. You will design and develop full-stack and backend services across data management, accrual systems, price management, and servicing operations, while helping to modernise legacy applications using cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
You’ll collaborate directly with front office and control functions to translate complex financial workflows into scalable technical solutions, while contributing to internal frameworks, development standards, and reusable components. There is also a strong focus on modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, AI-assisted development tooling, and cloud deployment within Azure.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in C# / .NET (6\+), RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and modern backend design patterns, alongside experience working within financial services. Exposure to Azure services, containerisation, event-driven systems, and mortgage or fixed-income products would be highly advantageous.
To secure the most relevant hire, my client is prepared to offer a significant increase on total compensation, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to take ownership of a critical technology function within one of the industry’s most elite platforms.
