Senior Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will focus on building practical technical solutions that support cross-functional teams and improve operational execution. You will work across systems and stakeholders to define reusable approaches, resolve complex issues, and translate ambiguity into actionable plans. The position also blends hands-on engineering with customer-facing collaboration, requiring strong communication and a mindset geared toward scalable, durable outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $179,400 – $224,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Shape complex, cross-system integrations and manage operational implications
• Define reusable templates and automation to streamline team efforts
• Identify root causes of issues beyond immediate fixes and drive effective solutions
• Mentor non-engineers in coding practices and encourage growth
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and scope practical technical solutions
• Navigate ambiguity and develop actionable technical plans
• Identify and document risks, security concerns, and best practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address and resolve support issues

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient production code
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, or exceptional backend skills in other languages
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL relational databases
• Experience building and consuming APIs and integrations
• Fluency in AI-assisted development and its practical applications
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and deliver measurable solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in a solutions engineering or customer-facing technical role
