Senior Solution Architect
$175,000- $200,000 base salary
\+ bonus structure
Remote with 30-50% travel

Senior Solution Architect – Mission Critical Controls / Data Centers
The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing mission-critical control systems supporting real-time monitoring, control, and analytics across data center environments. This role bridges business requirements, operational needs, and technical architecture to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architectures for mission-critical control systems, including data collection, processing, visualization, and BMS/EPMS platforms
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and reference designs
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for availability, resilience, scalability, and performance
- Integrate infrastructure, applications, OT systems, and monitoring tools into unified environments
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure interoperability and successful delivery
- Lead design reviews and develop functional design specifications
- Provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle, including deployment and testing
- Support implementation teams and troubleshoot complex integration issues
- Embed monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities into solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements in performance, automation, and cost efficiency
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or similar role
- Experience with real-time monitoring, control systems, or data platforms
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, BMS/EPMS, and platforms such as Rockwell or Ignition preferred
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems
- Experience designing high-availability and resilient systems
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Additional Information
- Travel: 30–50%
- Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday business hours, with flexibility to support operational needs
