The

Senior Strategic Buyer

leads sourcing strategy and supplier management for assigned commodities, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term value creation. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment with business objectives, while proactively identifying opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

· Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement best practices

· Strong SAP and MRP system expertise

· Deep understanding of manufacturing processes related to assigned commodities

· Strong business acumen and ability to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals

· Advanced negotiation, communication, and influencing skills

· Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive measurable results

· Strong analytical skills with experience in cost modeling and market analysis

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics

· High level of organization, attention to detail, and quality focus

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

· Sound decision-making ability and problem-solving skills

· High ethical standards, professionalism, and resilience under pressure

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field

· 5\+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supplier management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

· Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations

· Experience in logistics or supply chain operations preferred
