an IT or software project management position.

We are seeking an engineering-focused Senior Technical Project Manager with experience leading

custom automation, robotics, capital equipment, custom machinery, or advanced manufacturing systems

. The ideal candidate has managed complex engineering projects involving mechanical systems, controls, manufacturing, suppliers, and customer stakeholders from concept through design, build, integration, commissioning, and final customer acceptance.

This is an opportunity to join a growing aerospace automation organization where you'll lead highly technical, custom-engineered programs while partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, software, supply chain, and executive leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs from requirements through manufacturing, integration, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and external vendors.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution.
  • Drive project planning while managing scope changes, commercial impacts, and project risks.
  • Support design reviews, manufacturing readiness, production planning, and commissioning activities.
  • Partner with engineering and commercial teams during proposal development and project planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7\+ years of experience managing technical projects involving

custom automation, robotics, capital equipment, engineered products, production systems, or advanced manufacturing.

  • Strong technical credibility working alongside

mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing, and software engineering teams.

  • Experience leading projects from

requirements through manufacturing, integration, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and customer deliverables.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Primavera, or similar project management tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Custom automation or production systems.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), or commissioning.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar engineering programs.
  • CAD experience supporting engineering reviews.
