This Site Reliability Engineer II role blends observability, automation, cloud infrastructure, and performance engineering to improve system reliability, scalability, and user experience while partnering across engineering and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance observability solutions that provide actionable insight into application and infrastructure performance.
- Analyze system metrics and trends to identify bottlenecks and drive performance optimization initiatives.
- Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define reliability objectives and improve service outcomes.
- Lead capacity planning efforts and recommend scalable solutions based on growth forecasts and operational demand.
- Develop automation for monitoring, provisioning, scaling, and operational workflows to improve efficiency.
- Integrate reliability and monitoring practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support incident response activities, troubleshoot complex system issues, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Maintain technical documentation, share knowledge with stakeholders, and promote best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- 3\+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience in enterprise technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with APM and observability platforms, including strong exposure to Dynatrace.
- Experience building automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting solutions using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Background in cloud platforms, infrastructure, software development, or operations with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Familiarity with containerization, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring tools, or modern DevOps practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to thrive in agile environments.
