Site Superintendent

Position: Site Superintendent

Salary: $135,000-$170,000 annually

Hours: 40-50/ Week

Datoff Bros. Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing General Contractor specializing in Commercial, Civil, and Industrial Construction seeking a Vertical Site Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

• Review and execute the work outlined by the construction schedule

• Review the project plans and specifications and provide comments on the scheduling, cost-saving measures and potential construction problems

• Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the daily activities of workers and tradespeople

• Contact, schedule and coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and utilities

• Order materials and supplies

• Effectively meet all site-related deadlines

• Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule every week

• Raise, discuss, and address project issues at the weekly job site meetings

• Communicate with the Project Manager on any concerns, changes or issues that directly impact the site on time

• Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of WorkSafe are strictly enforced

• Maintain and enforce high construction standards and quality control

• Ensure that the site, inclusive of parking lots, common areas and site office, is kept clean, safe and presentable always

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Superintendent with experience in commercial, civil and industrial

projects

• Possess strong communication skills

• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and proactively develop appropriate means and methods to meet and overcome challenges

• Knowledge in Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology and Construction Management

• Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry

• Solid understanding of current construction practices, working knowledge of construction documents, drawings and specifications

• Ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment

• Strong leader, able to communicate clearly and promote teamwork
