Role Description

ChronicCareIQ is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Software Automation Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and compliance of our healthcare software platform supporting Chronic Care Management (CCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), and related Medicare reimbursement programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience testing web-based healthcare applications, building automated test frameworks using Playwright, leveraging AI-assisted quality engineering practices, and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new and existing product features.

Build, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using Playwright and modern test automation frameworks.

Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, performance, and end-to-end testing.

Validate application workflows, billing logic, patient engagement workflows, and healthcare-specific business rules.

Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent platforms.

Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.

Partner with Product Managers during story refinement to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability of requirements.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with developers during code reviews and design discussions to improve overall software quality.

Investigate, reproduce, document, and validate production issues reported by customers or support teams.

Leverage AI-assisted QA tools and techniques to improve test coverage, accelerate test creation, enhance defect analysis, and improve testing productivity.

Track, report, and analyze quality metrics including defect trends, automation coverage, and release readiness.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality engineering, test automation, and delivery excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

3 plus years of software quality assurance experience.

Minimum 2 plus years of experience testing healthcare software applications.

Experience with healthcare workflows, clinical systems, patient engagement platforms, or healthcare billing applications.

Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation.

Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.

Strong SQL skills with experience validating data in relational databases.

Knowledge of .Net/C#

Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Chronic Care Management (CCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), or Medicare reimbursement platforms.

Experience with AI-assisted software testing tools and practices.

Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, or EHR integrations.

Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or modern CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare compliance, and security best practices.

Basic programming experience in C#, .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Experience working in SaaS product organizations.
