Job Description

Senior 3D Software Developer - Role Overview

We are looking for a senior engineer to drive the integration between simulation tooling and a NVIDIA Omniverse-based factory digital twin.

This is a hands-on role owning the simulation-to-USD data bridge, Omniverse Kit application development, and the setup and adjustment of cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend NVIDIA Omniverse Kit applications and extensions
  • Design and implement the data pipeline between simulation tooling and the Omniverse USD scene layer
  • Own the USD schema for simulation state, material flow, and process events
  • Extend existing AWS IaC, preferably Terraform, across DEV / STAGING / PROD environments inside a GovCloud environment
  • Collaborate with manufacturing domain experts to translate operational logic into simulation-ready models

Skills Profile

3D / Omniverse

  • Hands-on experience with the NVIDIA Omniverse Kit framework, including extensions, stage/layer management, and the USD Python API
  • Solid working knowledge of OpenUSD, including schema authoring, custom attributes, layer composition, and asset referencing
  • Background in game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity as a baseline 3D foundation
  • Familiarity with real-time 3D pipelines, including scene management, asset conditioning, and viewport performance

Simulation

  • Experience with simulation in an industrial or engineering context, such as manufacturing, logistics, robotics, or similar
  • Familiarity with discrete event simulation concepts is a plus, including process flow, entity routing, and resource modeling
  • Exposure to simulation tools such as FlexSim, Plant Simulation, AnyLogic, or equivalent
  • Ability to model and validate simulation scenarios against real-world operational data

DevOps / Cloud

  • Ability to read, modify, and extend existing infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform
  • Familiarity with SRE principles, including environment parity, observability basics, and deployment pipelines
  • Ideally experience with AWS GovCloud environment setup and its limitations

Languages

  • Python: Solid, primary scripting language for Omniverse and simulation tooling
  • C / C\+\+: Working knowledge, Kit extensions and performance-critical paths
  • TypeScript: Bonus, web portal and tooling layer

Pay: From $77,715\.59 per year
