Software Engineer

Purpose of Position

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Workflow Development: Design, model, and develop business process workflows using BPMN 2\.0 and decision logic using DMN within the Camunda Modeler or similar tools

• Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain Java-based process applications, implementing External Task Workers, Java Delegates, and Task Listeners

• Drive implementation of software through analysis and design activities for new business features or value-based enhancements to existing software.

• Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, data, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.

• Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines

• Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product.

• Work in an agile team environment to iteratively deliver value.

Education

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Years of Experience

• 4\+ years of experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

• Previous work experience as Software engineer with 2-4\+ years’ experience.

• Hands-on experience with Camunda or similar tools and deep BPM Knowledge with understanding of BPMN 2\.0 and DMN 1\.x.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Javascript, Python is a must. Experience and knowledge of cloud services e.g. AWS is required.

• Experience in web development, mobile development, or software engineering projects as part of educational curriculum is preferred.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
