Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a

Software Engineer

to join a growing technology team within a stable and innovative organization. The

Software Engineer

will play a key role in developing automation solutions, supporting cloud-based environments, and enhancing critical applications while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. This position requires onsite attendance in the

RTP area

once a week.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:

• Develop and maintain Python applications, automation tools, APIs, and backend services that support business operations.
• Manage and optimize cloud-hosted applications and infrastructure across production and development environments.
• Build and support infrastructure automation initiatives, leveraging Ansible when applicable.
• Investigate system, application, and deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Partner with engineering, DevOps, and business teams throughout the SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Qualifications of the Software Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required
• 3\+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, including scripting, automation, and object-oriented development.
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Ansible preferred

Compensation for the Software Engineer includes:

• Salary: $70,000 - $88,000 annually
