Job Role: Solutions Architect
Duration: Full Time
Location: Remote
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field
Master’s degree is preferred but not required
Experience:
Experience working as a Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or similar technical role
Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, utilities, or industrial systems
Strong hands-on experience with:
BMS (Building Management Systems)
EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems)
SCADA systems
Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems (e.g., Rockwell Automation or similar)
Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms such as Ignition or equivalent tools
Good understanding of data center operations and infrastructure
Experience integrating OT (Operational Technology) with IT systems
Experience working with multi-vendor systems and complex integrations
Knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture is a plus
Travel
Expected travel: 30–50% depending on project needs
Includes site visits, client meetings, commissioning support, and workshops
Key Responsibilities:
1\. System Architecture \& Design:
Design full end-to-end control system solutions for data centers
Include all key functions such as:
Data collection from equipment and sensors
Real-time monitoring and control
Data processing and analytics
Visualization through dashboards and SCADA/HMI systems
Define how systems should be structured to be:
Secure
Scalable
Reliable
Easy to maintain and expand
Develop reusable design standards, templates, and reference architectures
Ensure designs follow industry best practices and data center standards
2\. System Integration:
Lead integration between OT systems (like BMS, EPMS, PLCs) and IT systems
Ensure different platforms and vendors work together smoothly
Define system interfaces, data flows, and communication methods
Work with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure correct implementation
Solve integration challenges across different technologies and protocols
3\. Performance, Reliability \& Resilience:
Design systems that meet high availability requirements (Tier III / Tier IV data centers)
Ensure systems include redundancy and failover mechanisms
Design for low latency and real-time system response
Ensure systems can scale as data centers grow
Include monitoring, alerting, and automated response capabilities
Focus on reducing downtime and improving operational visibility
4\. Technical Leadership \& Communication:
Translate business and operational needs into technical designs
Lead technical workshops with clients and internal teams
Present architecture options and explain technical decisions clearly
Produce high-quality documentation such as:
Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
System architecture diagrams
Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Act as a trusted technical advisor for both clients and internal teams
5\. Project Lifecycle Support:
Support projects from early design through to final commissioning
Participate in all phases:
Concept and planning
Engineering and detailed design
Factory testing and integration testing
On-site installation and commissioning
Go-live and handover
Provide technical guidance during system setup and troubleshooting
Ensure delivered systems match the approved design and performance targets
6\. Innovation \& Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate new technologies in:
Data center automation
Monitoring systems
Cloud integration
Analytics and observability tools
Recommend improvements to:
System performance
Operational efficiency
Cost reduction
Automation levels
Support long-term digital transformation strategies
Help define future technology roadmaps for mission-critical systems
7\. Troubleshooting \& Support:
Diagnose complex technical issues across OT and IT systems
Support resolution of critical system failures in live environments
Work with engineering and operations teams to restore service quickly
Identify root causes and prevent repeat issues
Core Competencies:
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure:
Electrical systems
Mechanical systems
Control systems
Deep knowledge of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and automation systems
Understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial systems
Ability to design highly available and fault-tolerant systems
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work in global, cross-functional teams
Strong ownership and accountability for technical outcomes
