Job Description
The
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
evaluates, diagnoses, and treats residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing direct therapy, and implementing strategies to support communication and safe swallowing.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, education of residents and families, and thorough documentation ensure coordinated care and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications require a Master’s degree, current licensure, and preferably experience in post-acute settings.
Physical demands involve standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working in a facility environment with exposure to medical conditions.
Work involves direct patient interaction in various clinical settings, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
