As a Senior Director of Architecture at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community banking team, you lead across multiple areas, manage the activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across both business and technical domains in the Architecture function to execute critical initiatives of the function. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads multiple architecture and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide architecture objectives
- Design and architect scalable, responsive web and mobile applications using modern technologies and frameworks
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensures all applications adhere to industry-standard security best practices and compliance requirements
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives while driving consensus across competing objectives
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10\+ years applied experience. In addition, 5\+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and in building cloud-native application
- Experience in domain driven design, data modeling, micro services architecture, event \& streaming technologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience modeling with UML, object-oriented constructs, or other modeling language
- Advanced experience in API design and management, Service definition and consumption including API, brokers, REST APIs
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in digital web and mobile application development.
- Proficient in responsive web design principles and frameworks such as React, AngularJS, and Next.js.
- Experience developing or leading large and sometimes cross-functional teams of architects
- Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
- Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Experience working at code level
- Experience with formal enterprise architecture models and tooling, such as TOGAF
- AWS Certification
- Experience with AI/ML, LLM and Generative AI is preferred
