The

Sr. Manager, Global Compensation

leads the strategy, governance, and execution of broad-based compensation programs across all functions and geographies. This role provides leadership for global compensation planning and program administration for base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives, while driving scalable, compliant, and competitive compensation practices. The Senior Manager owns global benchmarking strategy and vendor management, job architecture governance (job catalog), compensation structures, market pricing, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for global broad-based compensation programs, policies, and governance frameworks across regions and functions.
  • Lead and oversee annual compensation cycles globally (salary structure review, merit planning, and incentive planning/review), ensuring quality, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Establish and manage the global market benchmarking strategy, including survey participation approach, vendor selection/management, and market data governance.
  • Own job architecture governance, including the global job catalog, job documentation standards, job evaluation methodology, and ongoing role/level integrity.
  • Direct market pricing and job evaluation activities; ensure consistent salary grade placement practices and effective controls for internal equity.
  • Serve as senior compensation advisor to HR and business leaders; provide consultative support on offers, promotions, organizational changes, and pay decisions, escalating exceptions as appropriate.
  • Partner with HR Operations, People Analytics, and Finance to improve compensation tools, reporting, and automation; drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and interpret global regulatory/statutory requirements impacting compensation (including FLSA considerations); ensure policies and practices remain compliant.
  • Develop executive-ready insights, dashboards, and materials to support leadership decisions and Total Rewards communications.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members; set priorities, ensure operational excellence, and build scalable capabilities across the compensation function.
  • Support additional Total Rewards initiatives and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive compensation experience, including broad-based compensation in a corporate, global environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global compensation cycles and operating in a complex matrix with competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of job architecture and job evaluation methodologies; experience governing job catalogs and leveling frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical capability with strong Excel skills; ability to translate data into clear recommendations and executive-level storytelling.
  • Proven experience with compensation survey strategy, participation, and vendor management.
  • Working knowledge of compensation-related compliance considerations, including FLSA; ability to partner with Legal/HR to address regulatory needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
  • Experience implementing or optimizing compensation processes and tools (e.g., HRIS workflows, compensation planning systems, reporting/BI tools).
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and advising at the executive level.
