Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Sheet Metal Project Manager that will be based in Austin, TX and is responsible for overseeing HVAC ductwork scopes from project kickoff through closeout. This role leads coordination, fabrication alignment, and field execution across multiple projects, ensuring work is planned, released, and executed in a controlled and predictable manner. The Senior Project Manager is expected to take ownership of project performance, support and guide project managers, and drive consistency across processes.

Key Responsibilities

·        Oversee multiple sheet metal projects from kickoff through closeout

·        Lead coordination efforts with BIM to ensure accurate and timely model completion and releases

·        Align fabrication planning with project schedules and field installation needs

·        Support field leadership by resolving complex issues and maintaining production flow

·        Own project financial performance, including budgets, labor productivity, and material tracking

·        Manage high-level submittals, RFIs, and change orders, including strategy and execution

·        Identify risks early and drive resolution across BIM, fabrication, and field teams

·        Provide guidance and support to Project Managers and junior staff

·        Maintain consistent communication with internal leadership and external stakeholders

·        Drive accountability, structure, and continuous improvement across projects

Qualifications

·        Minimum 8–10 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal or mechanical construction project management

·        Strong understanding of ductwork systems, fabrication methods, and installation practices

·        Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead project teams

·        Strong understanding of BIM/VDC coordination and model-driven workflows

·        Demonstrated experience managing project financials and driving profitability

·        Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

·        Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

·        Clear and direct communication skills

Preferred Skills

·        Experience leading teams or mentoring Project Managers

·        Background in large commercial construction projects

·        Familiarity with fabrication shop workflows and prefabrication strategies

·        Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools

·        Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
