The Sr. Research Analyst - Data Analytics position will work cross-functionally with all PSE issue areas. This role will mainly support and guide data analysis, visualization and tool development to equip PSE staff, organizational partners, communities, and advocates in advancing racial equity goals and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support internal teams with research, analytics and policy expertise

  • Assist issue-focused portfolios in research and policy review tasks to meet grant obligations. This includes, but is not limited to survey support, background research, and data analysis, mapping, and visualization
  • Work closely with the Just Solutions team to support development of work scope, identify deliverables, and provide data analytics and conduct research to meet project specifications
  • Support a collaborative effort across multiple organizations exploring the best and highest data equity practices, which will inform PSE's approach to equitable data, research, and storytelling
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of impact management tools and systems
  • Lead data collection and analysis for ongoing program evaluations and research projects using statistical software and data visualization tools
  • Translate complex data into clear and compelling narratives that showcase the value and impact of our work

Contribute to the development of Research \& Analytics as a leading resource in the region for novel strategies for the equitable collection, curation, and analysis of data, research, and policy

  • Design and execute high-impact, innovative, policy-relevant data analyses and tools.
  • Contribute to the design of research projects including the development of conceptual and analytical frameworks for examining justice-related issues, evaluating programs and policies, and understanding the policy context.
  • Write reports, policy briefs, and other publications to disseminate findings from research projects.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of outreach and dissemination strategies, including webinars.
  • Work with Research \& Analytics Director to convene data equity peers to develop an Equity Data Roundtable/workshop
  • Stay current with pertinent literature, developments, and data visualizations around issues of demographic change, inequality, mobility, and equitable growth.
  • Assist the team in revamping equitable data and research methodologies that disrupt traditional DEI research practices
  • Identify opportunities to connect data and research to community-led efforts and systemic issues
  • Use mixed methods for data collection and analysis that include quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Manage tasks and deadlines for multiple research projects (small and large), which includes working collaboratively with staff at all levels and troubleshooting potential issues.
