Elevation Marketing is a mid-sized, full-service B2B-only marketing communications agency based in Gilbert, Arizona. We partner with growth-driven organizations, from mid-market leaders to global enterprises, with a client roster that includes 40\+ companies generating $1B\+ in annual revenue, alongside a diverse mix of emerging and established B2B brands.

The Opportunity

As

Senior Web Developer \& SEO Specialist

, you will own front-end development and web production across a wide range of B2B client websites, microsites, and landing pages while driving organic search performance through technical SEO and advanced search optimization practices. You will work directly with our Sr. Director of Digital Marketing, coordinate external development vendors, and contribute to client deliverables that demand both technical precision and search expertise.

Elevation believes great collaboration in the advertising and marketing agency space happens in person; therefore, this position is on-site only, with two work-from-home days a month.

Key Capabilities and Responsibilities:

Web Development \& Production:

  • Lead front-end development and end-to-end website redesigns across client web projects including full site builds, microsites, and landing pages with a consistent focus on UX/UI quality, search performance, and technical precision across WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot CMS, and other platforms.
  • Write clean, performant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; build and maintain custom page templates, components, and layouts in line with design specs and brand standards.
  • Ensure all builds meet performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility standards from the ground up.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and account teams to translate creative direction into functional, polished web experiences.
  • Maintain quality control across all web deliverables, including pre-launch QA, device and browser testing, and post-launch monitoring.

Development Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate with external development partners across project briefing, timeline management, and QA, with comfort taking on increasing ownership of those relationships over time.
  • Translate internal project requirements into clear technical scopes for vendor execution and contribute to holding partners accountable to quality and delivery standards.
  • Help identify and surface vendor-related blockers proactively to keep client projects on track.

Technical SEO \& Search Optimization:

  • Execute and oversee technical SEO across client websites including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile optimization.
  • Implement and maintain structured data and schema markup to improve search visibility and eligibility for rich results.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits and translate findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations for internal teams and clients.
  • Optimize on-page elements including title tags, meta descriptions, heading structures, internal linking, and canonical tags across client properties.
  • Stay current on the evolving search landscape including AI-driven search, answer engine optimization, and generative search visibility, and apply that knowledge to client programs.
  • Monitor search performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Ahrefs, and contribute to regular client reporting.

Client Engagement:

  • Act as a technical consultant in client-facing settings, helping forecast project scopes, outline objectives, and deliver solutions that bridge creative direction and technical feasibility.
  • Support account teams in quarterly reviews and planning discussions, contributing technical insight and search performance analysis.
  • Communicate complex technical topics clearly and accessibly to non-technical client stakeholders.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with the Sr. Digital Producer to coordinate on web projects, avoid overlap, and ensure seamless handoffs between development and marketing technology workstreams.
  • Work with content, strategy, and account teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded into all web and content deliverables.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing around web development standards, platform capabilities, and search trends.

Experience and Skill Sets

  • 5 or more years of hands-on front-end web development experience, with a strong portfolio of agency-delivered or B2B web projects.
  • Proven technical SEO experience with demonstrable impact on organic search performance.
  • Familiarity coordinating or working alongside external development vendors in an agency or production environment.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with hands-on CMS experience across WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot CMS, and other modern platforms.
  • Working knowledge of structured data, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and AI search visibility best practices.
  • Proficiency with tools including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Screaming Frog, Semrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Familiarity with responsive design, web performance optimization, and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients and internal teams, and comfort contributing in client-facing settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer information systems, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Elevation strives to provide some of the best agency compensation and benefit packages in the great southwest. The job range is set at $85,000-$110,00\+ per year based on experience and skill sets. The job is in Gilbert, AZ (just off the Loop 202 expressway) and less than one mile from over 50 restaurants. Our business is all about collaboration, so we do not offer telecommuting currently, but we do offer flex hours depending on the position and clients. Employees can start at any time between 7 AM and 9 AM and finish between 4 PM and 6 PM based on client demands and department structure. Elevation pays for 95% of employee's life, health and long-term disability insurance. Elevation offers vision, dental and a variety of other benefits that an employee can purchase.
