An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading organisation in the Utilities \& Energy sector, who are looking to strengthen their Strategic Procurement team with the appointment of an experienced procurement professional.

This role will take ownership of a portfolio supporting major transmission and distribution projects, leading sourcing activity across critical electrical infrastructure and working closely with engineering and project teams to deliver commercial value.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies across key power infrastructure categories.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, from market engagement through to contract award.
• Negotiate high-value contracts with international suppliers.
• Build strong supplier relationships and drive supplier performance.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations and Project teams to support major infrastructure programmes.
• Monitor market activity, identify commercial risks and support long-term procurement planning.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with company policies and governance requirements.

We're looking for experience across categories such as:

• Transformers
• Switchgear
• Substations
• HV/MV/LV Cables
• Protection \& Control
• EPC
• Engineering Services
• Transmission \& Distribution Equipment

You'll ideally have:

• Procurement experience within Utilities, Power, Energy or Electrical Infrastructure.
• Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation experience.
• Experience managing complex technical procurement projects.
• The confidence to engage with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Degree qualified with around 9\+ years' relevant procurement experience
