Global Markets Recruitment (GMR), our specialist recruitment division as part of the CF Corporation, focuses exclusively on sourcing exceptional talent across both emerging and developed markets, primarily targeting entry-level through mid-management professionals.

We as a recruitment partner, have been exclusively mandated by one of our clients to identify and secure two high-calibre candidates this week to support a significant increase in project demand for a summer programme commencing on 20 July 2026, running for a period of six weeks. Our client is a leading top-tier U.S. investment bank.

Successful candidates will be assigned to one of several core business areas, including Industrials \& Energy, Healthcare, or other specialist sector teams depending on business requirements.

The position involves supporting clients on a broad range of complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M\&A), equity and equity-linked offerings, debt financings, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and strategic investment transactions, while working alongside senior professionals on high-profile deals in global markets.

Your Focus

As an Investment Banking Analyst Intern, you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of strategic advisory and capital markets transactions for a diverse range of corporate and institutional clients. Working alongside experienced banking professionals, you will contribute to transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, corporate restructuring initiatives, and broader strategic advisory mandates.

This position is highly analytical and transaction-focused, requiring involvement in both the preparation and execution of live deals. You will assist in conducting financial modelling and valuation analysis, preparing detailed presentation materials for client engagements, performing market and industry research, and supporting due diligence processes throughout various stages of transaction execution.

In addition to transaction support, you will help evaluate commercial opportunities, identify potential risks, and ensure all work is delivered in line with internal regulatory, compliance, and governance standards expected within a global financial institution.

The role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-moving, high-performance environments and possess strong analytical capability, commercial judgement, and exceptional attention to detail. Successful candidates will be expected to manage responsibilities independently, communicate effectively across teams, and contribute directly to the successful execution of complex, high-value transactions within a demanding international banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of live advisory and capital markets transactions, supporting mandates across mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and broader corporate strategy engagements
  • Develop sophisticated financial models used for valuation analysis, transaction structuring, forecasting, and assessing potential strategic alternatives
  • Produce high-quality presentation materials for clients, including transaction presentations, investor materials, valuation summaries, and internal deal documentation
  • Perform detailed research across industries, public markets, and corporate sectors to identify trends, benchmark companies, and support transaction decision-making
  • Work alongside senior deal teams to manage transaction processes, monitor execution timelines, and ensure efficient progression across active mandates
  • Assist with due diligence exercises by reviewing financial information, analysing operational data, and coordinating information flow between internal teams and external advisers
  • Support business development initiatives by preparing market analysis, competitor research, and materials used in prospective client discussions
  • Ensure all work is completed with exceptional attention to detail while maintaining strict confidentiality, accuracy, and professional standards at all times
  • Collaborate closely with professionals across investment banking, sales and trading, legal, compliance, and risk management functions to support seamless deal execution

This opportunity centres around supporting the execution of complex corporate finance transactions while helping clients navigate strategic decisions involving capital raising, acquisitions, restructuring activity, and long-term growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to process complex financial and commercial information quickly, interpret market developments with strong analytical judgement, and deliver well-structured conclusions supported by rigorous analysis. You should be comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-performance environments where priorities can shift rapidly and where maintaining precision under pressure is critical.

Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, strong commercial awareness, disciplined problem-solving ability, and the confidence to contribute effectively within demanding transaction environments involving high-value strategic decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

Summer Analyst

  • At university studying any degree ideally in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline. We accept also individuals from any degree, especially those numerate based that is mathematical, scientific or engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear client-ready materials
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Sound judgement and a good understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory agendas with basic training

Process

This application shall be open for a week, so please apply early. We are hiring for our client across their key global markets and shall release vacancies in their global team. Thereafter once selected, you will undergo an initial interview followed by next stage one day assessment centre and one group role play. A decision will be made on the day.

Reward Structure

  • You will be well compensated for this time and the intern program will last for six weeks at £10,000
  • Receive a bonus for your time
  • A potential permanent offer of employment and part of the Banks’ graduate program with a guaranteed starting salary of at least £75,000 \+ 50% bonus on-tarnet or 125% for high-achievers
