Job Overview – Supply Chain Planner \& Buyer – 34179

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner \& Buyer to support procurement and planning activities within a fast-paced operations environment. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of materials based on demand signals, maintaining accurate system data, and optimizing purchasing costs. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and suppliers to support production and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement \& Purchasing

  • Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders within the ERP system
  • Expedite orders to meet production schedules and delivery timelines
  • Source materials by requesting quotes and negotiating short-term supplier agreements
  • Maintain accurate pricing, lead times, and purchasing parameters in the system

Planning \& Order Management

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external orders based on demand requirements
  • Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Coordinate transportation methods and logistics for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Release and track orders through completion

Operations Support

  • Maintain and update ERP data to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Assist with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels and resolving discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve purchase order and invoice variances
  • Support quality processes, including addressing non-conforming materials
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts

Requirements

  • 3\+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications or drawings is a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
