System Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a System Engineer, based in Sohar. The System Engineer will oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure, servers, and networks. Responsibilities include ensuring system performance, security, and availability, managing software updates, and providing technical support to the operations team. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to design and implement technological solutions tailored to operational needs.

Qualifications

• Expertise in IT infrastructure, server administration, and network configuration
• Proficiency in system security, firewalls, and data backup solutions
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with container terminal operations and logistics systems is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent are advantageous
