The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for providing full-cycle recruitment support for technical, specialized, corporate, leadership, co-op, and hard-to-fill positions across HPS operations in Canada and the U.S.

Working closely with hiring managers and the People \& Culture team, this role develops sourcing strategies, builds proactive talent pipelines, leverages recruitment technology and analytics, and strengthens HPS's employer brand to ensure the right talent is in place to support business success.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities from intake meetings through offer acceptance and onboarding.
• Recruit for engineering, technical, manufacturing, IT, finance, leadership, corporate, co-op, and other specialized positions.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies based on business needs, market conditions, and hiring priorities.
• Source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, networking, referrals, Boolean searches, industry research, and talent communities.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and business-critical roles.
• Partner with hiring leaders and People \& Culture team members to identify internal talent, succession candidates, and development opportunities.
• Manage multiple concurrent requisitions while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and service standards.
• Track and analyze recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, applicant flow, and requisition activity.
• Prepare recruitment reports and provide insights to support business decision-making and workforce planning.
• Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment legislation and company policies.

Knowledge \& Skills

• Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting practices and sourcing methodologies.
• Experience using UKG Recruiting or similar Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Advanced LinkedIn Recruiter sourcing experience.
• Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates and filling difficult-to-recruit positions.
• Ability to build talent pipelines through networking, referrals, job fairs, post-secondary partnerships, and industry engagement.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using recruitment metrics and data to improve hiring outcomes.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and recruitment compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, interviewing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting capabilities.
• Passion for creating exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences.

Do you qualify? We are seeking:

• College diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
• Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, manufacturing, corporate, leadership, or high-volume positions.
• Experience supporting recruitment across multiple business functions and locations.
• U.S. recruitment experience is considered an asset.
• CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation or working toward certification.

At Hammond Power Solutions (HPS), we provide market‑competitive compensation that reflects performance, skills, and current market conditions. For this role, the base salary range is $71,600\.00 to $107,400\.00, with final offers determined by experience, qualifications, and role complexity.
