Tax Analyst

Venteon is currently seeking a

Tax Analyst

to fill an opening with an industry leading, well-established and successful multi-business holdings company based in Metro Detroit.

Requirements of the

Tax Analyst

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA certification is required; Master of Science in Taxation is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of progressive tax experience including experience with consolidated returns
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
• Proven experience in tax strategy development and implementation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail

Responsibilities of the

Tax Analyst

• Assist with the calculation of the annual income tax provision under ASC 740
• Support the preparation of the corporation’s federal, state and local income tax returns, including fixed asset reconciliations, apportionment and other supporting workpapers
• Utilize tax preparation software to import trial balances, update account mapping and prepare tax returns
• Prepare tax filings for non-income tax matters, including sales and use tax, property tax, excise tax, and other related filings
• Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions to ensure compliance with all tax obligations
• Assist with research and responses to federal, state and local governmental audits and notices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and information necessary to complete assignments
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline tax processes
