SUMMARY:
Valicy is looking for The Tools / Pipeline Engineer is responsible for creating, evaluating, refining, and maintaining tools, integrations, automations, and workflows that improve how the Innovation Studio builds games.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI orchestration, workflow design, systems thinking, and practical production support. The ideal candidate can identify friction quickly, build useful solutions, and turn repeatable pain points into scalable tools that help others move faster.
This role requires someone who actively uses AI and emerging tools to accelerate development, integrate systems, automate repetitive work, improve pipelines, and move from rough tool concept to reliable workflow improvement with speed and clarity.
QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
- Build internal tools, pipelines, integrations, automations, and workflow improvements for the Innovation Studio.
- Leverage AI tools and agents to accelerate creation, curation, testing, documentation, analysis, and decision-making.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks, repeated manual effort, and areas where better tools can increase speed or quality.
- Turn rough needs into practical tools, prototypes, dashboards, scripts, integrations, or repeatable systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, art, QA, coordination, and leadership to understand needs and reduce friction.
- Iterate quickly based on user feedback, technical constraints, reliability concerns, and changing priorities.
- Stay current with emerging AI tools, agent workflows, development platforms, automation methods, and integration possibilities.
- Support and scale systems that allow others to produce more with less friction.
- Maintain a practical balance between speed, reliability, usability, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Use AI responsibly and thoughtfully, with awareness of code quality, data sensitivity, security, brand risk, and production standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong software development fundamentals and practical problem-solving ability.
- Experience building tools, pipelines, integrations, automation, internal systems, or workflow-supporting software.
- Sharp systems judgment with the ability to quickly identify which problems are worth tooling, automating, or leaving alone.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools as a meaningful part of development, automation, or workflow design.
- Strong awareness of emerging AI capabilities and a proactive approach to learning and applying new tools.
- Ability to make clear technical decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong debugging, integration, documentation, and user-focused thinking skills.
- Clear communication skills, especially when translating messy workflow needs into practical solutions.
- Ability to balance speed, reliability, complexity, security, maintainability, and team value.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements and undefined processes.
- Low ego, high ownership, strong follow-through, and a team-first mindset.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with casino gaming, slot machine development, land-based gaming, or regulated gaming products.
- Experience with Unity, C#, Python, scripting, build pipelines, data workflows, APIs, or internal developer platforms.
- Experience creating custom tools to assist and supercharge your workflow.
- Experience working with engineers, artists, designers, QA, or production teams through a full development cycle.
