Primary Duties And Responsibilities
This role is integral to the design, development and facilitation of training and development sponsored by the Employee Development Center (EDC). Reporting to the Director, Training \& Development, this role will provide instructional design, development and facilitation expertise for institutional training, employee training and development.
Work with relevant College roles such as Faculty Professional Development, Adjunct Faculty Support, and College leadership to design and develop employee training for College of DuPage employees.Facilitate and deliver workshops sponsored by the EDC. Workshops may be on staff and faculty development topics, supervisory topics, institutional initiative topics, etc.Apply principles of quality instructional design using proven models while developing training and materials with subject matter experts (including departments).Consult with department supervisors to recommend solutions for employee or team challenges and opportunities. Deliver training with department as needed.Consult with employees one on one to recommend training and professional development opportunities.Use instructional design methodologies and current learning technologies to create templates, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids and experiential activities.Conduct reviews of existing training and provide suggestions for improvement as requested.Assist in the design and development of an overall evaluation plan as well as session evaluations.Manage or contribute to special projects as requested by the Director, Training and Development.Other related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Education
+ Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning and Development, Education, Organizational Development or in a related field or have equivalent business experience required.
+ Master's degree preferred.
- Experience
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
+ Expertise in delivering training workshops to a wide variety of audiences required.
+ Experience in designing training and materials required.
+ Experience applying instructional design methodologies required.
+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite required.
+ Experience in a learning management system required.
+ Some experience working with audio and video tools required.
+ Knowledge of the instructional design models.
+ Blackboard LMS experience preferred.
+ College-level teaching experience (full or part-time) preferred.
+ Community College experience preferred.
+ Strong project management and follow-up skills preferred.
+ Strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks and deliverables preferred.
Working Conditions
Ability to use computer peripherals such as scanners, digital cameras, audio equipment, video production equipment and videoconferencing equipment.Forty hours per week.This position requires a background check and drug screen.

Hiring Range
12 Salary/Starting salary beginning at $75,131/annually based on education and experience
Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
