Trapeze Systems Analyst – Asset Management & Transportation

Key Responsibilities

Trapeze Asset Management

• Configure, administer, and support Trapeze Asset Management functionality.
• Develop and maintain asset hierarchies, asset classifications, locations, systems, components, and equipment records.
• Support management of transit assets including:

o Revenue and non-revenue vehicles

o Buses and rail vehicles

o Facilities

o Stations and terminals

o Maintenance facilities

o Track and right-of-way assets

o Signals and communications equipment

o Electrical assets

o Fare collection equipment

o Passenger facilities

o Other transportation infrastructure.

• Configure asset attributes, relationships, warranties, meters, specifications, and maintenance requirements.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Configure work orders, job plans, PM schedules, maintenance procedures, and workflows.
• Support inventory, parts, materials, purchasing, and storeroom processes where applicable.
• Analyze asset and maintenance data to identify data-quality and operational issues.

1\. Transportation \& Transit Business Processes

• Work directly with transit operations, maintenance, engineering, facilities, fleet, and asset-management organizations.
• Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate transit operational requirements into Trapeze functional requirements.
• Develop future-state processes for:

o Asset lifecycle management

o Maintenance management

o Work management

o Preventive maintenance

o Inspections

o Defect management

o Fleet maintenance

o Facilities maintenance

o Parts and inventory management

o Asset condition assessment

o Reliability and performance management.

• Understand the relationship between asset management, maintenance management, fleet management, scheduling, operations, and financial systems.

2\. Requirements Analysis

• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Document functional and technical requirements.
• Develop:

o Business requirements documents

o Functional requirements

o User stories

o Process maps

o Use cases

o Configuration specifications

o Data requirements

o Interface requirements.

• Evaluate gaps between existing Trapeze functionality and business requirements.
• Recommend configuration, customization, integration, or process changes where appropriate.

3\. Data \& Asset Migration

• Analyze legacy asset-management and maintenance data.
• Develop asset data mapping and transformation requirements.
• Support extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading of asset data into Trapeze.
• Develop data-migration templates and mapping documents.
• Validate:

o Asset hierarchies

o Asset IDs

o Locations

o Equipment classifications

o Maintenance plans

o PM schedules

o Meter information

o Historical maintenance records

o Inventory and parts data.

Establish data-quality rules and reconciliation procedures.

4\. System Integration

Support integration between Trapeze and other enterprise transportation systems, potentially including:

• Enterprise Asset Management systems
• Fleet management systems
• CAD/AVL systems
• Scheduling and dispatch systems
• ERP/financial systems
• GIS
• Fuel management systems
• Fare collection systems
• IoT/telematics platforms
• Data warehouses and reporting platforms.

Responsibilities may include defining interface requirements, data mappings, integration workflows, and interface testing.

5\. Testing \& Implementation

• Develop system and integration test scenarios.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop test scripts based on transit business processes.
• Coordinate defect identification, prioritization, resolution, and retesting.
• Support configuration validation and regression testing.
• Participate in mock conversions and deployment rehearsals.
• Support production deployment and cutover activities.
• Provide post-go-live stabilization and troubleshooting.

6\. Reporting \& Analytics

• Develop and support operational and asset-management reports.
• Analyze maintenance and asset-performance data.
• Support KPIs such as:

o Mean Distance Between Failures (MDBF)

o Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)

o Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)

o PM compliance

o Work-order completion

o Backlog

o Asset availability

o Fleet availability

o Parts availability

o Maintenance cost

o Asset condition

o Failure trends.

• Support management dashboards and decision-support reporting.

7\. Stakeholder \& Vendor Coordination

• Act as a subject-matter expert between the transit agency and Trapeze implementation/vendor teams.
• Coordinate with IT, maintenance, operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and asset-management stakeholders.
• Participate in project governance and status meetings.
• Track requirements, issues, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
• Provide recommendations regarding system configuration and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5–8\+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Application Analyst.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Trapeze solutions, particularly Trapeze Asset Management.
• Experience working within a public transportation, transit, rail, bus, or transportation infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of transit maintenance and asset-management processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise application implementations or upgrades.
• Experience with requirements gathering, configuration, testing, data migration, and production support.

Pay: $104,076\.64 - $125,339\.61 per year
